Day 1 Scriptures:
Titus 2:11-14 (NLT) 11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
Father in heaven, thank you for this great salvation you gave us when we put our faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. We have experienced your grace through faith and rely on the Holy Spirit within us to empower us to crucify our flesh so we can please you in the way we live.
May our goal for this New Year be to love you with all that is in us and to love others as we love ourselves.
In the perfect and powerful Name of Jesus, amen.
Day 2 Scriptures:
Mark 11:22-24 (NKJV) 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Thank you, Lord! We thank you Jesus for giving us the power to move mountains, the power and authority to heal the sick, to cast out demons, and to raise the dead! Hallelujah! We Praise You Lord for giving us this power through our faith! It is our faith that activates your power which brings our prayers to fruition, and it is our belief that activates our faith! As we believe in faith, we receive the answer to our prayers, and you come through every time! Even when we don't see it, you are always working things out for our good! So, we will continue to praise you and give you the glory and honor you deserve because you deserve it all! May this new year bring boldness to our prayers and confidence in our faith in You! We love you, Jesus! It's in Your name we pray, Amen!
Day 3 Scriptures:
Joshua 1:8-9 (NKJV) 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Lord, as we enter into a new year and many are facing hard times, we pray that You will continue to guide us as we continue to seek You. We know that You go before us and You will never forsake us so we can stand tall in the face of adversity because if You are for us, then who can stand against us! We can be strong because we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength and we can be courageous because although we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear NO evil because You are with us Lord! Wherever we may go! You are guiding our steps and leading us on the path of Righteousness, and we can rest assured that we are protected because although the weapon may be formed against us, it shall not prosper! So, we thank you Lord for your protection and promise to prosper us and may we all be led to meditate on Your Word day and night so that it would flow from our mouths whenever we speak! We praise You Lord and in Jesus' name, we pray, Amen!
Day 4 Scripture:
Psalms 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Lord, we exalt You above all others and lift Your name in praise! All glory to You God, for You are an awesome God! We know we can put our trust in You because You have never failed us, and You never will! You are faithful to us and have plans to prosper us! You work all things out for our good, so we can count it joy whenever we face trials or tribulations because it will only bring us closer to You! Anytime we are uncertain about something, have doubts, or need clarity, we can "be still" and surrender wholeheartedly to Your will and trust in You because You are just that good! We praise You in the waiting and keep our hearts fixed on You! We thank you, Lord, for being our refuge when times get rough! We give You all the glory and all the honor, in Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Day 5 Scripture:
John 8:12 (NKJV) 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Jesus, we are in awe of You! We are eternally grateful for You and all You have done for us, all You sacrificed for us! You died for us so that is why we choose to live for You! Thank You, Lord for bringing us back from death to LIFE! You leave the 99 for that 1 every time and when living in darkness, you don't realize how lost you are but once we call out Your name and see the Light our future becomes so much brighter! It's all because of You! You are the Truth, the Way, and the Life! May we all be led to be willing vessels for You Lord, that we can all become beacons for Your Light. To shine Your grace and mercy on others who need a way out of the darkness! Lead on Good Shepherd, it's in Your mighty name we pray, Amen!
Day 6 Scriptures:
Romans 15:13 3 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 33:2 2Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Heavenly Father,
You are the God of all hope. I acknowledge that you are the source of our hope. You are the source of our strength; you are the strength of our life. It is in you Father, that we move and have our being. Lord, I pray that you will fill my brothers and sisters in Christ with supernatural love, joy, and peace. I pray that their hearts will overflow with supernatural hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Where there is a spirit of fear, anxiety, depression, doubt, or discouragement, may it be removed and replaced with the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind, which 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that you give to us. Father God, your word also tells us in I John 4:18, that perfect love casts out all fear, so I pray that your sons and daughters would know personally and intimately the depths of your merciful, unfailing, and everlasting love. May your unfailing love rest upon us, as we put our hope in you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day 7 Scriptures:
Ephesians 1:17-19 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Dear Lord,
I thank you for my brothers and sisters of New Life Community Church. I intercede and stand in the gap for my church family and ask you that you give them wisdom and insight so that they might grow spiritually in their knowledge of you. I pray that their hearts will be filled with Your glorious light so that they can spiritually understand the confident hope that you have given to those whom you have called your Holy people. I pray that they will know the riches of the glory of your inheritance and the greatness of your power that you give to those who believe in you. May your sons and daughters come to understand that this is the same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of God in the heavenly places, with all authority, power, and dominion, not only in this world but also in the world to come. I thank you, God, that Jesus put all things under His feet and that you made Him head over every part of your church. I am so grateful to be a part of your church body and that you make us full and complete through Jesus, who fills all things everywhere with Himself. May New Life Community Church be a body of spiritually mature disciples filled with your love, wisdom, and revelation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day 8 Scriptures:
Ephesians 3:14-20 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
Father God,
I pray for an abundant and blessed New Year for my New Life family. I pray dear Lord that you would grant them according to your riches and glory, to be strengthened with power in their heart and mind. I pray that Christ Jesus would dwell in their hearts through faith and as a church body, we would be rooted and grounded in love. May your children understand just how much love them, knowing how wide, how long, how high, and how deep your love is. May New Life Community Church experience the love of Jesus which surpasses knowledge. Please fill them Lord beyond measure with all the fullness of life and power that only comes from you, God. I give you glory God and declare that you are able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, glory to God in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day 9 Scriptures:
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, that we can surrender all to you, that we can fully trust in Your ways that are above our ways and our thoughts. Lord, I do not want to be in my own way, so I pray and choose to fully submit all my plans, ways, and thoughts to you. In all I am, I want to honor You. Thank you, Lord, that you are making my paths straight, I am so grateful. All glory and honor to You Almighty Father, in Jesus Name, amen.
Day 10 Scriptures:
Psalms 143: 8-10 (NIV) 8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. 9 Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Lord, thank you for Your Mighty Love that is unfailing, that I can entrust my life to, that rescues me, that teaches me Your will for my life. Thank you that Your Good Holy Spirit leads me on level ground. I bless Your name today and thank you for loving me. In Jesus Name, amen.
Day 11 Scripture:
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Thank you, Lord that you are my strength when I feel weak. When I feel defenseless you are my shield. You give me strength for the battle, strength for the fight. You are my shield at all times, protecting me from things I see and don't see. When I think of all this, my heart leaps within me with great joy. I will praise you and give you thanks for all you have done for me and all you will continue to do for me. I love you, Lord. Amen.
Day 12 Scriptures:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Psalms 37:23-24 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Dear Lord,
There are so many things I am thankful for. Thank you for your love. Thank you for never leaving me nor forsaking me. Thank you that you are with me. Thank you that when I pray you hear me. Thank you for your Word that leads and guides me. No matter what life throws at me I know you are with me, and you have a plan for my life. Even though sometimes I may not know what the plan is I put my trust in you. I am grateful to start a new year and grateful for the things you will teach me along the way.
Day 13 Scriptures:
Matthew 4:3-4 (NIV) 3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Lord Jesus help me surrender all that I am to you; all my desires, thoughts, and agenda I give to you. I pray for self-control and discipline when temptation comes my way and to rely on your strength rather than my own. Thank you Lord that you are sovereign and in control. All praise and honor belongs to you, in Jesus' Name, amen.
Day 14 Scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Father, I give You thanks and praise for who You are and for all that You have done for me. Help me live a life of gratitude and contentment for all the things that You have bestowed and entrusted to me. Lord, whether I'm facing a trial or living in your grace and blessings, help me live a life of constant prayer and worship, acknowledging that You are in control and Lord of all. All praise and glory to You, in Your mighty and precious Name, amen.
Day 15 Scriptures:
Matthew 26:40-41 40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Lord Jesus, thank you that you are my Lord and Savior and that in all things I can rely on You. Lord, I acknowledge that my flesh is weak and that without your strength, my endeavor is meaningless. Lord Jesus, I want to follow your example. Help me be prayerful and to look to the Father instead of relying on my own strength. I give you all the praise, glory, and honor that You deserve, in Jesus Name, amen.
Day 16 Scriptures:
Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV) 1Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Thank you, Lord, that I can rest in You. Thank you for the reassurance that in times of uncertainty or worry, You are the refuge and fortress I can take shelter in. Lord, may You strengthen my trust in You and renew my spirit to constantly dwell in Your Presence every day. I praise You all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Day 17 Scriptures:
John 4:17-18 17 “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband.18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
Thank you, God, that you continue to choose us and love us despite our past. I pray on the days that it's hard or feel shame, help me to never forget how worthy and loved I truly am. and You are the one who orders my steps and has made me new.
Day 18 Scriptures:
Psalm 23 1The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, 3He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right path for His name’s sake. 4Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows. 6Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me and for restoring my soul. I know that no matter what I go through, even the darkest valley you are with me. I know you will never leave me or forsake me. You are so good. Thank you for comforting me and giving me strength. I pray that my life will honor you in all that I do and say.
Day 19 Scripture:
Psalm 122:1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Dear Jesus,
I am so grateful for my church family, New Life. It’s not a perfect church but it’s a place where I can learn and grow in my faith. Thank you to all of the people who come each week and bring their family and friends. Thank you to all of the volunteers who serve and make it a special place. I pray in this coming year we will see many more come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. I pray we will see families healed and bodies restored. Thank you, Jesus, for all you are doing. We want to look more like you each and every day.
Day 20 Scripture:
Numbers 11:1 “Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when he heard them, his anger was aroused.”
God takes our complaining seriously! This verse says that not only does God hear our complaining, but it angers Him.
Lord, help me to be a thankful person and practice gratitude daily. Help me to see the good in things and people & not the bad. Please forgive me for my complaining spirit. In Jesus name, amen.
Day 21 Scripture:
John 3:30 “He must increase and I must decrease.”
John the Baptist said that he’d be fulfilled and be “complete” if there were less of him and more and more of Jesus!
It is not my success or fruitfulness on this earth that matters most. It is likeness to Jesus…and that can only happen if I give Him more and more place in my life and take less and less. Please remind me to review the fruit of the Spirit and to cooperate with what the Spirit of God is building in me today.
